SATURDAY 28TH NOVEMBER 2020
ALL APPLICANTS (INCLUDING THOSE WHO ARE APPLYING FOR PERFORMING ARTS PLACES AND THOSE WHO ARE LOOKED AFTER CHILDREN OR PREVIOUSLY LOOKED AFTER CHILDREN) WHO APPLY TO THE SCHOOL MUST ATTEND AN ASSESSMENT DAY.
The purpose of the assessment is to allocate each applicant to an ability band. The School is a comprehensive school and takes applicants of all abilities.
You will have noticed that we have changed the date of the assessment to Saturday 28th November. We are endeavouring to keep everyone safe. We want to reduce the numbers travelling and coming to sit the test, for all the reasons associated with Covid 19 and the risk of transmission.
We will be joining The Grey Coat Hospital and St Augustine’s CE High School in doing the same test and sharing the results, as usual. Applicants to all of these schools only need to do the test once.
However we have approached primary schools to ask if they could run the test for us. This would be in the week beginning 23rd November and would mean the applicants would remain in their bubbles and not have to travel. When we know the primary schools who are willing to do this we will let you know.
The three secondary schools will also still run their banding test on site for any students who cannot attend the test in primary schools that week.
The St Marylebone CE School Saturday 28th November
St Augustine’s CE High School Saturday 28th November
The Grey Coat Hospital Tuesday 1st December.
Some applicants may have previously booked a time slot for the old date. By mid-November we should know if your child will sit the test at their primary school or not. If you will need to attend on 28th November, we will send a form out so that you can select a new time slot.
Thank you for your patience at this time.
