Applications for entry to Year 12 in September 2022
We look forward to welcoming you on-site this year. Booking for the following events will open on Monday 11th October:
Friday 12th November – Open Morning, 9:00-10:15 am
Tuesday 16th November – Open Morning 9:00-10:15 am
Thursday 18th November – Open Evening 4:30-6:30 pm
To minimise overcrowding we ask that you book a specific slot to attend on the night. We ask that if you book to attend the talk at 4:30, 5:00, 5:20 or 5:40 that you arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your slot and you tour departments after the talk. If you book for 6:00 or 6:20 you should arrive earlier to tour departments as there will not be the chance after the talk.
Tuesday 23rd November – Tour of performing arts facilities.
We are a split-site school and most subject lessons take place at the sixth form centre but the majority of performing arts lessons take place at our lower school site. If you are interested in applying for Dance, Drama, Music or Music Technology A-Level at St Marylebone School and you would like to see the performing arts facilities you are welcome to attend a 30-minute talk and a tour on the 23rd November. You may book to attend this as well as one of the sixth form open events.
Open mornings will include a talk from the director of the sixth form and a tour of the building.
The open evening will include a presentation and a self-guided tour of the school. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit different subject departments and talk with teachers and students.#
How to apply
There is an online application process. External applicants should register and complete an application form. The application form will open on Friday 19th November at 9 am. The deadline for external applications is Friday 7th January 2022 at 4 pm.
Internal applicants (ie St Marylebone Year 11s) will be emailed login details to the application form in November.
Types of Places
We welcome students of Christian faith, all other world faiths and those with no faith.
Applicants from any faiths other than Church of England should apply for an Open place.
Applicants who have no faith should apply for an Open place.
Applicants from the Church of England faith should apply for a Church of England place and complete a clergy form.
We also have 15 scholarship places available across Maths and the Performing Arts (Dance, Drama, Music and Music Tech).
To apply for a scholarship you must be applying to study the relevant A-Level. Maths scholars must be applying for both Maths and Further Maths. Scholars are prioritised in the allocation of places. They must still meet the grade entry criteria to gain their place. Once at the School they will be ambassadors in their chosen subjects across the School. Please click on the relevant link below for further information about the scholarship process.
Unsuccessful scholarship applications will continue as either Church of England or Open applications.
To secure a place in our 6th Form, students must meet the grade entry requirements, as this is an indicator of the student’s academic grounding and ability to rise to the challenge of A-Levels in our school.
Our entry requirements are:
5 GCSEs at grade 6-9
English and Maths at grade 5 or above
AND and any subject entry requirements (some of which may be higher than others)
You can find all subject entry requirements in our options block. Option blocks for entry in September 2022 will be confirmed in November.
