Types of Places
We welcome students of Christian faith, all other world faiths and those with no faith.
Applicants from any faiths other than Church of England should apply for an Open place.
Applicants who have no faith should apply for an Open place.
Applicants from the Church of England faith should apply for a Church of England place and complete a clergy form.
We also have 15 scholarship places available across Maths and the Performing Arts (Dance, Drama, Music and Music Tech).
To apply for a scholarship you must be applying to study the relevant A-Level. Maths scholars must be applying for both Maths and Further Maths. Scholars are prioritised in the allocation of places. They must still meet the grade entry criteria to gain their place. Once at the School they will be ambassadors in their chosen subjects across the School. Please click on the relevant link below for further information about the scholarship process.
Unsuccessful scholarship applications will continue as either Church of England or Open applications.
Entry Requirements
To secure a place in our 6th Form, students must meet the grade entry requirements, as this is an indicator of the student’s academic grounding and ability to rise to the challenge of A-Levels in our school.
Our entry requirements are:
5 GCSEs at grade 6-9
English and Maths at grade 5 or above
AND and any subject entry requirements (some of which may be higher than others)
You can find all subject entry requirements in our options block.
