Students are taught a series of Media lessons in the Summer term of Year 10 to give them a taster of the subject before they make their Post 16 choices. It is then taught at Key Stage 5 as an A Level.
In a world where we are constantly consuming media in different forms, we need to question the validity of the information we receive on a daily basis and to be aware of bias within the media so that by the end of the two-year period you should have an even better understanding of the world we live in. As a department, we are committed to the student’s progress at the forefront of our teaching and learning by ensuring we provide them with extra support outside of lessons.
