All students who were entered for qualifications in Summer 2020 have the opportunity, if they wish, to resit exams in those subjects in Autumn 2020. The deadline for this is 5pm on Thursday 17th September. Our recommendation is that this route is best considered only where there is a realistic chance that an improvement in grades will make a genuine difference to your future prospects.
The Autumn resit series will consist only of exams and will not feature non-examined assessment (coursework) with the exception of GCSE Art and Design. If your Autumn resit grade is lower than the one that you received in August, you will keep the higher grade; there is no risk of your grade going down if you resit.
The Autumn resit series is open to any student who was entered for exams in Summer 2020 – even if you have gone on to study elsewhere.
You will not be charged an exam fee. However, in order to ensure that decisions to re-sit have been fully considered, the School will ask you to pay a refundable deposit (£40 per qualification) when submitting your entry. This will be refunded to you in full upon your attendance at the exam. If your circumstances make it difficult for you to pay the above deposit, please email examinations@
The exam timetable can be viewed via the following links published by the exam boards.
The Department for Education has advised that results for these exams will be issued before Christmas 2020.
