This week we have been taking part in Mental Health Awareness Week in a variety of different ways.
Tuesday Form Time
On Tuesday in form time all students from Year 7 to Year 13 were shown these slides. These explained that Hello Yellow is a national campaign lead by the UK Charity Young Minds.
Schools and communities all over the country organise activities to raise money and spread awareness of how we can improve and support our mental health and that of people around us.
Wellbeing Wednesday
On Wednesday your child would have been engaging with these slides as part of Young Minds #HelloYellow campaign for Mental Health Awareness Week.
Friday
Today students donated 50p to add up to two yellow items to their uniform. There are some photos on the next page.
There were also a range of lunchtime activities taking place throughout the week including meditation, bracelet making and a Sixth Form mental health and social advice session.
A special thank you to Ms Haywood for her contributions to this week’s campaign.
