We are delighted to congratulate Amelia in Year 10 who, after qualifying for the Kensington and Chelsea Regional final, is now a Grand Finalist of the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge.
She will be performing at the Cambridge Theatre on Monday 10th July.
Her speech ‘No One Is Pretty’ earned her first place in the Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster Regional Final. She wants everyone to feel a little bit happier with their bodies. Her qualification places her in the top 0.2% of young public speakers in London and Essex.
More than 500 schools took part in the workshops and each of those could put through a candidate for the regional final. There were 37 Regional Finals throughout London and Essex and from 37 Regional Champions, 15 were selected by a panel of expert judges to go through to the Grand Final. The criteria for selection includes: content, delivery, structure and positive impact.
Good Luck Amelia!
