We are excited to share some wonderful news from last Saturday’s JP Morgan Generation Tech event! We are thrilled to announce that our school’s team not only took part but emerged victorious!
Our 6 member student team composed of Y10 and Y11 students was assigned the critical UN Sustainability Goal of improving good health and wellbeing. Together, they embarked on a mission to create an innovative solution: an app leveraging AI technology to monitor both mental and physical wellness.
Their app idea analyses user data to identify trends in health indicators and provides personalised recommendations for improvement. Notably, if concerning symptoms persist, the AI prompts users to seek medical attention, facilitating a proactive approach to healthcare. Additionally, the app includes educational resources on health topics, catering to younger users. The impact of this project extends beyond mere convenience; it has the potential to save lives, particularly in regions facing shortages of medical professionals. By connecting user feedback with medical databases, the app ensures equitable access to healthcare, prioritising those most in need.
Among 18 competing teams, our school’s team secured first place, earning each member an iPad among other rewards !. This achievement not only reflects their dedication but also highlights the calibre of STEM talent within our school community.
We are incredibly proud of our students’ accomplishments and commend their commitment to addressing global challenges through innovation. Events like these not only provide valuable learning experiences but also inspire our students to pursue rewarding careers in STEM.
Congratulations once again to our six students for their outstanding achievement!
