A huge well done to 25 of our Year 9 dancers who performed at the Southwark ‘Step Around Town’ event at Bacon’s College last Wednesday. Our students worked extremely hard over only 5 weeks to learn and rehearse another challenging piece with their Step Into Dance choreographer, Kevin.
Students performed in front of 5 other schools from across the borough, as well as an audience of family and friends. The demanding dance required meticulous spacing and precision timing, particularly when performing very complex and breath-taking contact movements.
We are really proud that our students also took part in the ‘freestyle’ afterwards, showing courage by improvising in front of all of the performers.
