We are pleased to report that a number of our students were selected to represent Westminster after competing at the recent Westminster Athletics Competition where St Marylebone placed 2nd overall. The following students were chosen to represent Westminster in the London Schools Athletics Competition for their age category: Year 9 Monisade- high jump, Lauren C- 300m, Isabel M 300m, Aliyah O 800m, Maggie F high jump and Annie F hurdles. In Year 10 Annie F 800m, Grace S shot put and javelin. In year 8 Jaielle H discus, Sonny 800m and 1500m and Margot – 1500m.
Two students in particular excelled in their performances. Sonny in Year 8 competed in both the 1500m and 800m finishing in 2nd and 3rd place. Whilst Monisade in Year 9 came first in the high jump. She will now go on to represent London at the English Schools Athletics Competition in Birmingham at the end of the month. We are very proud of all our students who have represented the school in athletics this year and we hope with hard work and dedication throughout the year we can continue to compete at the highest level.
