Over the last few weeks students at St Marylebone have been competing in a number of Westminster Sports Competitions. On February 10th we competed in the pool at Queen Mothers Sports Centre at the Westminster Swimming Gala. There were some particularly impressive performances in the individual races and we certainly gave the winning school Francis Holland a run for their money. We managed to win a number of races, and came second place overall. Well done to all the swimmers from Year 7 ,8, 9 and 10 who took part. We are incredibly proud of your efforts.
Also this week students from Year 8 (who have been training since September) have finally got to play their league matches. There was excellent leadership from Amala and some excellent player of the match performances from Natalia, Biba and Esme. Overall the team won all their matches.
It was 8-1 against Greycoats, 12-0 against Pimlico and 12-2 against St Augustines meaning they have won the Westminster league.
Congratulations to all the students involved and for your commitment to training week in week out.
