The Year 13 REP Conference Day was held on Thursday 23rd November, combining teacher-led workshops, a talk from the organisation Solutions Not Sides, and presentations delivered by our Year 13 REP students on the relevance and role of religion in society today. All Year 13 students who attended approached the day with such maturity, compassion and brilliance – considering a diversity of views on the crisis and expressing themselves in an excellently educated and informed manner. The students should be incredibly proud of themselves, and a special thanks to all staff who contributed to the running of the day.
Whilst this was an informative opportunity for students to engage with the crisis and speak to those directly affected, if students do require any further support or questions, they can speak with the Year 13 pastoral team or members of the REP department. We continue to pray and reflect for peace and an end to lives lost in this crisis, and continue to always approach this with our ethos and Christian values at the centre; love, hope and compassion; which our Year 13 students demonstrated so inspiringly on this day.
